2011 is here. Oh poop.

I was expecting a horrible start to 2011.

I was half expecting that I'll miss the XYZ appreciation dinner coz I was scheduled for a stock count. I even thought I was going to have to miss watchnight if the stock count went on forever and ever.

But thank God our PM declared a holiday, my client rescheduled the stock count to 30 Dec so I had the whole of 31 Dec to catch up with friends, attend appreciation dinner AND watchnight. Without having to worry about work. =)

And Pr Daniel shared a message right before the clock struck 12. There was this big word on screen: BETTER

Basically, better workplaces. That was what's most important to me this season. Better work life balance got its share of mention too. So I'm gonna cling on to this and by faith, it will be for the better.

So it's the beginning of 2011 and I'm starting it by thanking the Lord.

Thanking God for a wonderful 31 December. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be THIS free.

Thanking God for a good start to the new year. Though the first 10 minutes or so was spent consoling my pastor's kid who was sulking and using inappropriate words. It did make me think of how I would handle such a situation if he were my own kid. I hope I'll be a cool father

I should go sleep. Hopefully can board game tomorrow. =)
